Britney Spears’ ex-manager Sam Lutfi is suing her for libel, but he also claims that her drug use was a big part of the problem.

Lutfi’s lawyer has alleged that Spears used crystal meth, and she shaved her head in an effort to rid herself of amphetamine-laced hair.

Spears adopted a British accent around that time as well, which perhaps she felt would help her evade law enforcement — you know, because they might mistake her for Eliza Doolittle and “let the lil’ lone lorn creetur” go.

Or something.

Old man in the mirror

The November issue of Vanity Fair has a scathing piece on the scramble for Michael Jackson’s estate, alleging that his family descended like vultures after his death.
But the really bizarre part is the description of Jackson’s body in the morgue, which was “nearly bald beneath a black wig that had been stitched into the fuzzy strands of his closely cropped white hair.” He was tattooed with cosmetics and “discoloration” meant to hide burn scars.

“A bandage covered a nose so cut away that, without prosthetic, it looked like little more than a pair of slightly ridged nostrils.” Yikes.

Y-m-so-gay

“The Secret Disco Revolution” has been making the rounds at film festivals, celebrating the gay subtext of the era. The Village People are in the film — but they don’t take too kindly to this whole “gay” thing.

“People always talk about the double-entendres,” said David Hodo, the construction worker. “There was not one double-entendre in the music.”

He has a point: “In the Navy,” “YMCA,” “San Francisco, You’ve Got Me,” “Sodom & Gomorrah,” “Hot Cop,” “Cruisin’” and, finally, “Fire Island.” Nothing gay there.
