Man steals taxi, crashes it into a stoplight

Police say a California man dragged a New York City taxi driver out of his cab, took over the cab and crashed it into a stoplight. The incident started around 3 a.m. Sunday when Michael Findley of Pasadena hailed a taxi at Delancey Street and the Bowery in the Lower East Side. A police spokeswoman said the 31-year-old Findley exited the cab, dragged the driver out and took over the taxi himself. According to the police, Findley drove the taxi to Union Square and crashed it into a traffic light.
